ABOUT PONT FOUNDATION
Pont Foundation is the first Bulgarian non-governmental organization, created after the democratic changes in 1992, operating in the public interest and established for the purpose of preserving the cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria. A number of prominent Bulgarian scholars such as Prof. Alexander Fall and Prof. Bozhidar Dimitrov, active public figures, writers, archaeologists and cultural figures took part in its establishment.
26 years The Pont Foundation is guided by the following strategic goals:
Preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria and its socialization as an important element of the cultural policy for wider access of a larger circle of the population to it;
Creation of a system for popularization of our rich heritage in Bulgaria and abroad, for the promotion of the Bulgarian national identity and the building of the image of Bulgaria as a country with unique culture and unique cultural heritage;
Socialization of the cultural and historical heritage and stimulation of its association with the tourist products in order to increase the access of the citizens and the guests of the country to the cultural products of the millennial history of Bulgaria through a multi-layered and full-value tourism;
Active participation of citizens and the business sector in the development and financing of different types of cultural institutes and activities;
Expanding the access of our citizens and guests to our cultural and historical heritage, increasing marketing activity, programming and introducing modern forms of distribution of artistic products in coordination with local authorities and the non-governmental and business
sectors.
Established in 1992 in Sofia, the Foundation is currently based in Burgas, 59, Mihail Gerdjikov Str. and its regional office is located at: Sofia 1000, 16, Sveta Nedelya Sq.

The property of the Pont Foundation is derived from the initial donation by the Founder, subsequent donations to the Foundation members, donations and wills from Bulgarian and foreign natural and legal persons, in the form of cash, movable and immovable property, subsidies, dividends, interest, income derived from the development of projects, programs, publications, surveys, consultations, publishing and advertising.
Pont Foundation's revenue may be spent solely for the purpose and the disposal of cash and other property may only be made by decision of the competent governing bodies of the Foundation and in accordance with the Statute of Association and for the made donations in accordance with the will of the donors.
The governing body of the Pont Foundation is the Management Board, which approves a business plan, budget, work program, technical and annual financial report, and more. The Founder of the Pont Foundation is also Chairman of the Management Board.
